The video shows the four attackers brutally harming the boy by cutting his hair with a knife until his scalp bled and also burning him with cigarette ashes. His arms and mouth were appeared to be taped shut. In the video, the attackers were yelling racial slurs such as “F*ck Donald Trump,” and “F*ck white people.”

Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson said in a statement on Wednesday night,

“It’s sickening. It makes you wonder what would make individuals treat somebody like that. I’ve been a cop for 28 years, and I’ve seen things that you shouldn’t see in a lifetime, but it still amazes me how you still see things that you just shouldn’t. I’m not going to say it shocked me, but it was sickening.’

According to police, they believe that the incident was a kidnapping and that the boy went to school with one of the attackers in the suburbs of Crystal Lake. The boy is currently with his family after being treated in the hospital. Police had found him walking, disoriented, on a street near the apartment he was held captive in. They had stopped him because they found it suspicious that he was wearing shorts in the dead of winter. The boy then led police to the apartment where they discovered damage to the property.

Warning, this video is seriously graphic.
